I have a QNAP TS-470 Pro, that needed a little more TLC. I have two NAS’s which the primary received a lot of upgrades recently and my backup (this 470) was lagging behind. From a stock 470, 2gb ram and i3-3220 and dual MB GB NIC’s to a 16GB i7-3770T with an additional QUAD port NIC. I followed a couple guides over the internet and the hardest part of the whole escapade was keeping track of the million or so very small screws. The QNAP networking side is pretty easy stuff, LACP and the virtual switches made things pretty easy to my Cisco 3750G. My backups are really moving and resources are a plenty on this machine.
