I’ve had this site for about 15 years, most of the time its has served as a dumping & testing ground for projects.
My personal and professional interests revolve around technology and the arts. I studied Art a long time ago and it always is in my thoughts no matter what projects I choose to be involved in.
Everyone starts somewhere, with something that piques their curiosity. I had a computer, which got me started into programming — a Commodore 64. No matter what technology projects I get involved in, I always come home to the C64. Over the last couple of decade, many others have begun to develop new hardware and software for this venerable machine. I’ve enjoyed watching their progress, tried to get involved and open the cold projects I’ve had as a teenager.
The commodore 64 has 16 colour display and a great charset. I had fun making PETSCII art, even before the c64 on a CBM PET. Making ASCII/PETSCII art really helped me as a child. When you are colour blind, many teachers give up on you doing anything artistic. PETSCII kept art alive for me, until my mentor said it didn’t matter: art is art and your perception of the world is just as valid as any other.
Check out some of the things I am working on or finished. Trogue64 is something I am proud of: its fun, finished and a real video game. Check out some of my releases on CSDB: https://csdb.dk/scener/?id=33272
